We were so lucky last week when the fine people at Finding the Nature took Marcus, Steph, Alex (our new resident cellist), and myself up to the base of the Chief to record a string heavy performance of Oh My God. We'd like to thank everyone at FTN for inviting us to shoot their inaugural video, we couldn't be happier and we look forward to seeing the final product!

Our friends at Green Couch Productions have put together something really special with the help of CBC Radio 3. We have been longlisted for one of three places on a train that is going to depart from Vancouver and arrive in Toronto in early June. The bands aboard are going to be performing at every stop along the way, and the whole thing will be documented on film by the Green Couch team.

Our good friends the Ruffled Feathers have invited us to play at their album release party on the 20th. The Woods is a cool venue for those of you who've never been. I only stumbled accross it a few months ago for another show. It's intimate, should be perfect for this night. It's only 5 bucks, come support a really cool band!

We're going to be opening for the Weezer side-project the Relationship and Robert Schwartzman (of Rooney) on March 20th, it should be a fun one. It looks like we'll be on early, around 9pm. 

First off I'd like to thank everyone who came out to our Winterruption sets. It was really a wonderful surpise to have a full house on a Sunday afternoon.

Granville Island and the Coastal Jazz Society have invited us to play at this year's Winterruption festival. It was great to be invited back by Coastal Jazz after we played the main stage in Gastown last June, which was absolutely the highlight of my career this far. So thanks a lot Coastal Jazz.

These will be the last sets for a while. Marcus and Graham are headed out on separate tours with different bands in March, and I'll be working on a new record.

Our pal Steven Quinn invited us to perform on a special edition of On the Coast at Aberdeen Mall for the lunar new year. It was really fun, we played a song every half hour from three to six, and drank bubble tea, bought awesome Japanese candy, and discovered five-spice chicken wings. It was our third time performing on the show.

I just confirmed that we will be playing a 45-60 minute set for a concert sereies produced by the CBC called the Toque Sessions. It's an early one, 5:30 pm on Thursday January 19th at CBC Studio 700 in Vancouver. I don't have ticketing information yet, but it should be very reasonable. I'm really looking forward to this one, I hear the studio is very intimate, and the sound should be impecible. Here are the details:
